
Install Quick Assist
The Problem
Windows Quick Assist app allows users to either receive or provide PC assistance over a remote connection.
With the Quick Assist update to the Microsoft Store, users we're experiencing some recurring issues. This article served as a hub to help guide users through the process of successfully updating to the new app.
The Process
I met with designers, project managers, and marketing personnel to better understand what specific issues customers faced. It was also important to find out if some customer concerns had already been resolved, and how to address issues that would take several weeks or months to resolve.
The Solution
I worked through several iterations regarding the best way to display the information. My goal was to allow the user to quickly pinpoint their specific issue so I decided to go with an FAQ that had dropdowns for frequently recurring issues.
As user feedback kept coming in, I updated the FAQ to fit the current pain-points of users. I also made sure to highlight issues that had been resolved with new version releases. This way, users wouldn't be confused if they happened to return to this document at a later date.
