I'm Qadro,
nice to meet you.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
I believe Psychology is an integral part of UX Design.
Through research we can better understand how people interact with products, and the thought processes behind their decisions. I strive daily to use my psychology and education background to create people centered designs that are accessible.

My background
I am a former educator with a background in psychology and research. I applied research in my classroom by gathering data on how my students learned best, as well as discovering which mediums they enjoyed working with most.

How I got started in UX
Due to COVID, I had a few months of remote teaching, and I saw firsthand the pain point for teachers who are now expected to apply their teaching techniques in a virtual world. I started to research ways to make my Zoom lessons more interactive for our students.
By doing this I discovered that UX would help me in bridging this growing gap in access to quality education. I believe writing simple copy helps us to meet accessibility standards and make our services and platform better overall.

When I first read about user experience design, I recalled my first time filling out a FAFSA and how simple language would've made this process less difficult.
